The Tiny Feet Ethos
Our aim is to provide excellent care in a secure, homely and relaxed environment. Our highly trained Staff value children’s achievements and are sensitive to their needs. Through encouragement and support children are able to develop to their full potential. We help teach children manner’s and respect, encouraging positive behaviour.
Early Years Education is offered through quality play experiences, where children are respected as individuals. Through the use of free-play, children are able to develop independence and self confidence. This form of play offers the freedom to learn and make discoveries that extend all areas of development.
Children’s racial, cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds are respected through all planning, resources and activities. Our inclusive play ensures children with special educational needs are offered the same experiences (wherever possible) as all other children.

Working with parents
The week before your child is due to start Nursery we have a settling in period, this helps us and your child get the chance to become familiar to their new surroundings, routines, etc. This will be arranged by the manager a week before your child is due to start Nursery.
Parents receive regular updates from a famly app. This app is great for communicating with your child’s key worker and management team. Meals, photographs, activities, observations, assessments are all sent via the famly app.
We encourage all parents to use the app as much as possible and to send us updates of their children’s interests, learning and development at home.
The other ways we communicate with parents are through open evenings. one-to-one meetings, questionnaires, a comment book in the entrance hall, suggestions and photographs.

Spaces available for our
Newborn Room
Ladybirds provides space for the babies to explore and learn to crawl and to walk using walkers. It benefits from lots of natural light with space to give scope for free movement and well spread activities.
The room also has an area where the babies can relax and play quietly and has an area designated for those important sleep times. We have a specific and suitable hygienic changing area that provides privacy for the babies.
Ladybirds provides a secure and stimulating environment full of bright colours and the babies have lots of stimulating toys such as a ball pool, mobiles, walkers, soft picture books, building blocks, dolls, activity tables and range of treasury baskets. These are all very important in the first stages of a babies development.
